What we collect

Almost nothing. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no cookies.

When you finish a level with a score, the game sends that score and the level it belongs to, so we can keep the best score for each level. Nothing else goes with it: no name, no device details, nothing that identifies you. The best score is shown to everyone who plays that level.

What stays on your device

Your progress, your own best scores and your settings (sound, language, controls) are saved in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device. Clearing your browser's site data deletes them.

In Kalliope, the name you type and the character you pick are sent to the game server so the other players at your table can see them. They are kept only while the table is being played and are not stored afterwards.

Kalliope also reports, once per visit, your browser's name and version and your screen's size, so we can fix the layout when it looks wrong on a phone. That goes into a technical log on our server with the time it arrived, and nothing else about you.

Who else is involved

Our sites are delivered through Cloudflare, which handles the connection between your browser and our server and so sees your IP address, as any network provider does. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. The pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, which also receives your IP address; see Google's privacy policy. Our server may briefly keep your IP address in memory to stop anyone from flooding it with scores; it is not written down.

Children

Our games are for everyone, including children. Because we collect nothing personal, there is nothing to ask permission for, and nothing to delete.
